Christmas Biscuits!
Traditions are important, but traditions are made over time. As the "kids" have grown up on Hickory Hill, they are beginning to establish their own. The oldest of the grandchildren spent some time working in the kitchens of Cracker Barrel two years ago and graced us last Christmas with his memory and tweaks of their biscuit recipe. So fun to watch him flour up the kitchen - after all, this is the same child that used to pull pizza straight from the freezer and gnaw on it without heating it! But thanks to another job, no one is a better pizza dough tosser than he! Thankful these have been added to our breakfast menu and this "kid" (He's 24?!) is part of the cook roll call.
These are so much better than my other recipe.
